Heat Pump Demand Limits – Updated

We have now been advised that the heat demand limits that the government proposed to bring into force in Spring 2017, that were delayed due to the election, are now set to become relevant from September 20th 2017.

Whilst this can be construed as a disappointing approach by government in appearing to undermine renewable energy once more, the summation of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme remains fully that it supports those people wishing to change from oil, LPG or storage heaters to much more environmentally friendly options, such as Air Source Heat Pumps and Ground Source Heat Pumps.

GSM Limited still sees that customers who make this great change will benefit from higher tariffs from the RHI as well as having a very supportive financial backing from being applicants to the RHI. In the majority of applications, homeowners will recover their Heat Pump cost via the RHI over the 7 year period. Secondly they will have installed a reliable, effective, efficient and environmentally improved heating and hot water system.

GSM Limited are a firmly established business operating across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, with many installations to our name, plus a customer base who will happily testify to our expertise, professionalism and service driven ethics.
